About Epsilon Risks

Epsilon Risks is an independent risk intelligence and advisory firm helping organizations understand complex global developments and what they mean for their decisions. We provide country risk assessments, monitoring, strategic forecasting, due diligence and tailored advisory services for businesses, investors, public institutions and international programs.

The opportunity

We are expanding our sales across all our markets: EMEA, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. We are looking for an independent B2B sales professional specializing in maritime, infrastructure & logistics to develop new client relationships for Epsilon Risks.

This is a hands-on role covering the full sales cycle: identifying prospects, conducting cold outreach, qualifying needs, presenting services, negotiating and closing. You will work independently, with flexibility over your schedule and sales approach, supported by our commercial materials and analysts.

The role covers both subscriptions to our intelligence and monitoring services and bespoke research, briefings and advisory assignments.

Your sector focus

Your clients will include shipowners and shipping companies, port operators, freight forwarders, logistics providers, infrastructure developers and businesses with international supply chains. Relevant contacts include operations, procurement, security, risk and strategy teams.

Connect our intelligence and advisory services to route and corridor exposure, port conditions, supply-chain disruption, regulatory change and continuity decisions. Opportunities may include monitoring subscriptions, focused assessments and bespoke briefings.

What you will do

  • Identify target organizations and relevant decision-makers in your sector and chosen markets.
  • Develop outbound prospecting through email, LinkedIn, telephone and other suitable channels.
  • Qualify leads by understanding their decisions, exposure, priorities, budget and buying process.
  • Present Epsilon Risks' services and coordinate demonstrations or analyst conversations where appropriate.
  • Prepare proposals with our team, manage follow-ups and lead commercial discussions through to an agreed contract.
  • Maintain accurate records of prospects, communications, opportunities and sales outcomes.
  • Share feedback on client needs, demand and opportunities to improve our commercial approach.
  • Identify opportunities for additional services, renewals and longer-term client relationships.

What we are looking for

  • Demonstrated B2B sales experience, particularly in outbound prospecting and client acquisition.
  • The ability to generate leads independently, engage decision-makers and close deals.
  • Experience selling to maritime, freight, logistics or infrastructure organizations, and confidence discussing the commercial effects of disruption, access constraints and changing operating conditions.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills, including confidence speaking with senior professionals.
  • Commercial initiative, reliability and the discipline to organize your own pipeline.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Additional languages are an asset where relevant to the local markets you will cover.

An existing sector network is a strong advantage. Experience selling subscriptions, SaaS, research, intelligence or advisory services is welcome, as is familiarity with CRM and prospecting tools.

Previous expertise in geopolitics is welcome but not essential. Your sales experience, knowledge of client needs and ability to build commercial relationships are our priorities.

Working arrangements and compensation

  • Freelance / independent contractor commercial agreement.
  • Fully remote, open to candidates worldwide, with flexible working hours.
  • Remuneration includes a base payment plus commission. The base amount, commission rates and payment terms will be agreed individually before the collaboration begins.
  • The remuneration package can be tailored to your experience, sector network and proposed scope of work.
  • Access to commercial materials, product information and analyst support for relevant client discussions.
  • The opportunity to build a long-term commercial relationship with an independent intelligence and advisory firm.
